Changing or Cancelling Time Warner Services (Now Spectrum)

When you are looking to make changes to your Time Warner account, such as transferring or moving the service or upgrading your TV package, you can follow the information provided below.

When Moving Service

If you are looking to move your service, you will need to go to Spectrum.com (https://www.spectrum.com/browse/content/moving) page to confirm that your new address is located in the serviceable area of Time Warner. You can make use of the online moving resource of the company to transfer your Spectrum Internet, TV, and Voice services to your new location.

While you can cancel and reinstall the service to your new location, however, you can instead get your service paused. As Time Warner allows users to put their Internet, TV, and Voice services on hold for a reasonable monthly fee, you can consider this option if you wish to continue using the service of TWC for your new location. This will not only help you in saving the cost of canceling and reinstallation but also save you from unnecessary hassle.

When Cancelling Service

If you wish to cancel the services of Time Warner Cable, you will need to contact the support team of TWC at the https://www.spectrum.net/contact-us/ page. You will get all the information about the cancellation on this page. In case you have queries about your bill, you can get an understanding of your bill on the billing help page (https://www.spectrum.net/support/manage-account/understanding-your-statement-bill/).

Want to Keep Your Roadrunner Email Address?

When you purchase the services from Time Warner Cable, you are also provided with a free Roadrunner email address. Although most of the past users have admitted in different forums that they have been using the email service even after giving up the Time Warner service, to ensure whether you will be able to use the service, you can contact the Time Warner Cable customer support at (833) 267 6094.

  1. Unfortunately there is nothing in this article that is true. We have been Time Warner customers for more than 20 years and have used 2 NC.RR.Com email addresses for the whole time. Once we canceled our Internet service. They shut off our emails immediately. There is no 30 day grace period. There is also no way to import or forward the emails because our passwords no longer work which is required for this process. I called as instructed and was told that there was nothing they could do to help us.

    1. I’m in same boat as you too David Turner!
4 times I called and now they have canceled my act & I have to pay to move it down the street!!

    2. I cancelled with (then) Time Warner Cable years ago. Except for one of the RR emails, they still work. I keep access to them on my email browser, just in case I get a message that’s important. However, all I’m getting at this point is spam. Lots and lots of spam. And I only get this spam on the RR emails. I do not get any spam on the Gmail and iCloud emails I”ve been using since cancelling with TWC. I’m going to have to call Spectrum and ask them to deactivate the email account.

  2. I am looking to switch from Spectrum to Fios for TV and Internet. Can I still use the Spectrum Roadrunner email with Fios? I am getting different stories..can and cannot..Anyone do this switch recently? Thanks!!

  3. I believe, prior to discontinuing/canceling your Spectrum/Roadrunner account, you could send a mass email to everyone in your RR address book with your new e-mail which in my case is G-mail.. I would strongly put in the Subject box a “Please Read- new e-mail address” or something to that effect.
For those contacts that are very important you may want to send a personalized e-mail directly to that person/company.
Auto pay account billing etc it may be necessary to call or contact them directly by phone and e mail about the change

  4. After all of these years, they could at least have some way to save the information you have accumulated. If this don’t work,I’ll sure remember it when we need new service.

  5. I switched to ATT fiber. I asked ATT if I could continue to use my Roardrunner email address. The rep went away for a minute to check something, came back and said very specifically that I could as long as I kept checking into it at least every 90 days. So, I changed. When I called Spectrum to discontinue the service, I asked again. Spectrum said no and that it might stop at any time. So, here I am paying for both because my wife uses her Roadrunner address for her business.
